Our Club House Cubby House is made to be the perfect size for a large family or a home daycare centre where a group of children can be easily comfortable in the cubby at one time. This cubby has a classic cubby house look with its covered porch and large four glassless windows. It would readily fit into your play or garden area and your kids will love all it has to offer them.
Place a kids table tor two in your Club House to help your kids do art activities that they can use to decorate the back wall. Kids love taking ownership of their things by placing their mark on it. You can help them by providing the supplies they will need to decorate including crayons, markers, paper and hanging tape.
Pick a monthly or weekly theme to gear the decorations towards, like Hogwarts, a princess castle or a pirate's ship. Let the kids create a mural by covering the back wall with paper and letting them color that. Or, if the children are too young to do a mural on their own, you can draw a picture on the paper you have hung up and they can color it in. The kids will love picking out the parts that they have colored and will enjoy doing each different theme when you change it up.
Having a weekly or monthly theme will help to spark their imaginations. Think about it, after about a month a theme can get boring. So, when you switch it up, the kids will have a renewed energy to play in their cubby. So, for the first month try sail the high seas on a pirate ship. draw the high seas on the back wall and the stern of the ship. Place a mop and bucket in the cubby for those who want to swab the deck and add a pirate flag to the roof of the cubby. The kids will take it from there. Then, switch it up and have a castle the next month, drawing and coloring the Great Hall on the back wall and making a moat around the cubby. The possibilities are endless.
